July executive board meeting canceled; full KCDCC to meet in 30th LD to doorbell for Carol Gregory

The following is a message from King County Chair Rich Erwin, sent to all Democratic PCOs in King County.

Fellow Democrat:

I believe the three most important races for King County this year are:

  • Retaining Carol Gregory in her 30th Legislative District state House seat
  • Electing Claudia Balducci to King County Council Position #6
  • Defeating Tim Eyman’s odious I-1366

Carol was appointed to the position after the passing of elected State Representative Roger Freeman. She is required to run in a special election this year to serve out the remainder of Representative Freeman’s term.

Carol needs our help to maintain our slim majority in the state House so that we can pass Democratic legislation that effectively responds to the needs and concerns of the citizens of both King County and the state of Washington.

Therefore, I am canceling the July KCDCC Executive Board meeting. Instead, I hereby call the entire King County Democratic Central Committee together – all PCOs – to the 30th Legislative District on Saturday, July 25th to meet briefly and then split into teams to knock on doors for Carol.

We will meet, starting at 9AM, at:
33505 13th Place South
Federal Way, WA, 98003

If this works as anticipated, we will repeat this process in September for Claudia Balducci.

It’s time for the King County Democratic Party to flex its muscles, get outside, and bring some grassroots power to bear on a race that really matters.

We have a public hungry for answers to our most vexing questions in this state, we have the candidate, and now what we need to do is reach out to voters and let them know that change for the better is in their grasp.

Please confirm that you will be available to doorbell for Carol Gregory on Saturday, July 25th by getting in touch with me. Thank you for all that you do, and let’s get to work.

Rich Erwin
Chair
King County Democrats
