It’s the middle of winter. Shouldn’t we be hibernating?

As it turns out, there are two very important elections happening now.

Vote YES on I-135 for social housing in Seattle

Seattle voters are deciding whether we will have publicly owned, mixed income housing like many European countries. I-135 will establish a public development authority which will acquire, build and manage mixed income housing with rents limited to 30% of residents income. I-135 is endorsed by many of your favorite organizations including Solid Ground, El Centro de la Raza, and your King County Democrats. You can read more about I-135 at House Our Neighbors or this Op-Ed in the Seattle Times.

Your ballot arrived several weeks ago. Drop it in the mail on Monday (no postage required!) or turn it in at a drop box before 8 pm on Tuesday the 14th. If you didn’t receive your ballot you can download a new one here.

Vote online for King Conservation District Supervisor
