Oct. 2025 Newsletter: Sending a Message

I’m sure you’re all busy helping Democrats get elected (right?), so we’ll keep this brief.

What would Democratic Party victory in this election mean? We at King County Democrats believe in the candidates we’ve endorsed, but it’s impossible not to consider the bigger picture.

This election will be the first nationwide opportunity for the American people to react to the actions taken by the de facto head of the Republican Party over the last several months. Yeah, him. What message do we hope that We the People deliver? What effect do we want it to have?

But even more importantly, what do our fellow Americans, our neighbors, think? Is what is happening right now—the abductions, the bullying, the gaslighting, the flagrant lawlessness—what the American people want? The answer will come into focus next month.

What you do over the next few weeks will paint that picture for us all.

  • No Kings Day – This Saturday, October 18
    • This is a big one, and it’s happening all across the country. The main local event will be at Seattle Center, with over 100 happening in the region. Brush up on your rights as a protester and find one near you. This nation was founded in defiance of a king. Let’s remind everyone of that. See you there!

Let’s get the word out!

Beth Bazley
Chair, King County Democrats
