Oct. 2026 (Week 2): Change Starts at Home, Four Weeks Out

The power to create lasting change, to build a better tomorrow, must always come from the bottom up. The national circus may get the spotlight in the news (and most of our anxieties), but we also cannot ignore the work to be done right here at home. The answers to both are the same: electing leaders who will fight for what we believe in.

But none of that can happen if people do not vote. Polls may see a blue wave on the horizon but remember: Polls are not results. Only votes cast and counted are results. It’s time to out there and get them.

Here are a few races we want to put special emphasis on:

Of course, these aren’t the only races that could use your help. Our endorsements are the result of scores of interviews with candidates at every level. Every one of them would welcome your involvement.

There are also a lot of events coming up, each a chance to get involved and be inspired:

  • On Monday, October 12th from 6:30pm to 8pm, Remlinger Farms will host an evening with several Democratic Party candidates, at including our endorsed candidate for LD12, Stacy Willoughby. Details here!

  • Hear from LD31 State Senate candidate Tamara Stramel at a Meet the Candidates forum next Tuesday October 13th at 6:30 PM. She’s seeking to oust incumbent Republican Phil Fortunato. The forum will be streamed over Zoom here.
  • Also on Tuesday October 13th, from 6pm to 7:30pm, will be your chance to attend a reception for Congresswoman Susan DelBene. You can RSVP here!
  • Next Saturday from 2pm to 5pm, No Kings is back with both a march and voting fair. Learn more here, or find an event near you!

There’s no shortage of things going on!
